Spanish Immersion in Spain

Seven days of total Spanish immersion in Muros — Galicia's hidden Atlantic coast.

Muros, Galicia

Far from the Spain of postcards

Galicia is the Atlantic Spain — lush mountains, granite villages, rocky beaches, lighthouses on the Costa da Morte. The food is unrivalled (the seafood especially), the wine is Albariño, and the culture carries its own language and its own legends of meigas and conxuros. Muros is a working fishing town on a deep Atlantic ría, the kind of place you don’t find in a guidebook.

A typical week

Mornings are for lessons with Bea — small group, level-appropriate, designed around real communicative use and rich sociocultural input. The afternoon is where language meets life: a guided walk through the old town, a wine tasting, a visit to the local market — all led in Spanish by a professional cultural guide. Evenings are unhurried, usually together.

Who it’s for

Intermediate and advanced learners who want to make a real leap, ideally in good company. You’ll need enough Spanish to hold a conversation — the week works because everyone is roughly at the same level.

Frequently asked questions

What level of Spanish do I need?

The week is designed for intermediate (B1) and above. Bea reviews every enquiry to make sure the cohort is well-matched — if your level isn’t a fit for this edition, she’ll tell you and suggest an alternative.

Is the accommodation included?

Yes. Seven nights at Hotel Do Porto in Muros are included in the price, along with breakfast. Choose between standard and sea-view rooms, single or double occupancy.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely — most attendees do. The week is built around shared meals, lessons and excursions, so you’ll get to know the group quickly.

What does a typical day look like?

Spanish lessons in the morning with Bea, lunch together, then a cultural activity in the afternoon — a guided walk, a tasting, a visit to a local market, or free time to explore. All outings are led in Spanish by a professional cultural guide. Evenings are unhurried, usually over dinner with the group.
