The 2026 cultural programme

Seven days in Galicia — lessons in the morning, the region in the afternoon.

Class schedule

Lessons run Monday to Friday, 9:30 to 13:00, with a half-hour break in the middle. Fifteen hours of teaching across the week, built around real conversation and the cultural activities that follow each afternoon.

The week, day by day

  1. Sunday 13th September

    Arrival in Galicia

Arrival at Santiago de Compostela Airport and a private transfer to Muros. Check in at Hotel Do Porto and time to settle into the maritime rhythm of this beautiful Galician town.

  2. Monday 14th September

Outes and the carpenters of the ría

A walk along part of the Ruta dos Carpinteiros — roughly 3 km each way through Galician countryside — leading to the Museo dos Carpinteiros de Ribeira, where we will discover the centuries-old craft of wooden boat-building that shaped this stretch of coast.

  3. Tuesday 15th September

Vilagarcía de Arousa and Illa de Arousa

A day on the Ría de Arousa: Atlantic landscapes, working harbours and the quiet charm of Illa de Arousa, one of the most distinctive corners of the Rías Baixas.

  4. Wednesday 16th September

    Discovering Noia

A visit to the historic town of Noia, known for its medieval old quarter, its arcaded streets and its long ties to both the sea and the Camino de Santiago.

  5. Thursday 17th September

    Excursion to Betanzos

One of Galicia's most atmospheric historic towns — medieval architecture, lively squares, and a gastronomy that locals will happily argue is the best in the region.

  6. Friday 18th September

    Free afternoon and farewell dinner

A free afternoon to rest, wander Muros, walk along the sea or pick up a few last things, before regrouping for a farewell dinner together.

  7. Saturday 19th September

Ribeira Sacra, the Sil canyons and Galician wine

A full-day excursion to the breathtaking Ribeira Sacra: a boat trip through the canyons of the river Sil, followed by a tasting at one of the region's vineyards.

  8. Sunday 20th September

    Farewell to Galicia

Check-out and transfer to Santiago de Compostela Airport. End of the immersion course.
