Our Team
Bea Uzal
Founder & Spanish Teacher
I’m Bea, the founder of Pan Comido. I was born and raised in A Coruña, a beautiful coastal city in Galicia, in the northwest of Spain.
From a young age, I always imagined myself as a teacher, and I knew it was the path I wanted to follow.
While studying English Philology at the University of A Coruña, I began working as a private language tutor, teaching Spanish, English, and French. Later, I decided to specialise in teaching Spanish, completing a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the International University of La Rioja.
In 2012, I moved to London to further my teaching career, and after working in various schools, colleges, and universities, I started my own Spanish school, which eventually became Pan Comido. Now, Pan Comido has a presence in both London and Los Angeles, where I currently live.
When I’m not teaching or geeking out over grammar and linguistics, I love hiking and exploring new places.
Constanza Letelier
Spanish Teacher
My name is Constanza Letelier, but you can call me Coni. I’m Chilean and have a great passion for history, which has led me to teach for over 20 years. Time flies when you’re doing what you love!. I’ve been fortunate to live in several countries, including Spain, Germany, China, Argentina, and Mexico. For the past two and a half years, I’ve been in London, a city I absolutely love and that never fails to surprise me.
Teaching is one of my greatest passions, and giving classes at Pan Comido has been a truly motivating experience. I really enjoy the school’s atmosphere and the enthusiasm of the students.
In my free time, I love reading historical novels, watching series, and of course, travelling. I’m always looking for new adventures and cultures to explore.
I hope to meet you all soon and share this wonderful learning experience together!
María de la Cuadra
Spanish Teacher
Hello, my name is María. I am 44 years old, originally from Chile, married, and I have two daughters. Throughout my life, I’ve had the opportunity to live in several countries, including Peru, Colombia, Brazil, New Zealand, and England, which has greatly enriched my multicultural perspective.
Recently, I decided to make a career change and became a certified Spanish teacher through the “Instituto Cervantes”. I consider myself a patient, enthusiastic, and flexible person, and I enjoy creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere in my classes with my students.
In my free time, I like reading, exercising, sewing, and travelling with my family.
Celia Mata
Spanish Teacher
My name is Celia, and I have been teaching since I left university (so, for quite a while, now!). I have experience teaching in international settings, and I have worked with a wide range of age groups. I enjoy teaching both Spanish language and culture, as well as Basque—a language spoken in the Basque Country, in the north of Spain.
Karina Álvarez
Spanish Teacher
My name is Karina. I was born in Venezuela and now live in London, where I have turned my passion for the Spanish language and my cultural heritage into my professional mission.
I am a certified teacher by the Instituto Cervantes in teaching Spanish as a second language. This training allows me to teach using effective and personalised methods, helping my students master Spanish in a practical and culturally enriching way. Each lesson is designed not only to learn the language but also to immerse oneself in the rich diversity of Hispanic culture, connecting with its expressions and traditions.
Whether you’re looking to improve your skills for travelling, working, or simply connecting with the Spanish-speaking world, I’m here to guide you with enthusiasm and professionalism. Let’s discover together how Spanish can open new doors and experiences for you!
